Strong analysis leads to settlement

In a recent arbitration proceeding between an insurer and reinsurer, we were asked to analyze which of many influences was related to size of loss. The opposing party contended a single factor was responsible. Using our in-depth knowledge of insurance and advanced statistics, we demonstrated that this single factor was not significant and persuaded the opposing party to agree to our client’s settlement offer. Our client avoided the adjudication process and the substantial loss that could have resulted from an adverse decision.
